A pump forces water through a membrane fine enough to hold back dissolved salts. Clean water carries on to your equipment and the rejected salts go to drain.

Dubai and Abu Dhabi mains water is desalinated and soft, so reverse osmosis here is rarely about hardness. It earns its place by giving every cup, ice cube and steam cycle the same clean base, whatever the building tank and pumps added that day.
RO water is very low in minerals, so UAE coffee and drinks sites usually pair it with a remineralising stage. We size the system to the litres per hour you need, quote in dirhams and fit it through local partners.
Common questions
Do I need RO if Dubai water is already soft?
Not always. For a home or office tap, filtration and UV often do the job. RO makes sense where you need very consistent water for espresso, ice or steam ovens, or where the site runs on tanker or well water.
Why add minerals back after RO?
Desalinated and RO water both carry very few minerals. A measured dose improves taste and pH, helps espresso extract properly and keeps the water inside your machine maker's limits.
What about tanker or well water?
That supply can be far harder than the mains. RO handles it well, usually with a softener or extra pre-filtration in front. Tell us the source when you ask for a quote.
Supplied, fitted and serviced in the UAE
UAE mains water is desalinated and fairly soft: DEWA reports a typical hardness of 60.7 mg/l in Dubai. Most problems start in building tanks and pipework, so filtration and UV usually matter more here than softening.
