Sediment filtration

0.01 micron · Triple systemsOn Triple systems, a hollow-fibre membrane with 0.01 micron pores stops bacteria, viruses, cysts and microplastics, and leaves calcium and magnesium in the water.

Why it matters: A physical barrier with no chemicals, useful where water is stored in warm building tanks. Unlike reverse osmosis, it keeps the minerals.

CrownGuard in the UAE
Dubai and Abu Dhabi water leaves the plant desalinated and treated. What changes it is the building: tanks, pumps and pipework that can add sediment, rust and a stale taste on the way to your tap.
CrownGuard filters at home, after all of that. A 5-micron sediment stage, a carbon block and, on the Triple, a 0.01-micron ultrafiltration membrane, with an optional LED UV stage.
Common questions
Does it remove minerals from the water?
No. The sediment, carbon and UF stages leave dissolved minerals in. If you want them out, reverse osmosis is the choice.
Can it fit in an apartment?
Yes. The Apartment model is built for flats, with the Home Triple and Home Smart for villas.
What does the UV stage add?
An extra barrier against bacteria, using a compact LED lamp after the filters.
Supplied, fitted and serviced in the UAE
UAE mains water is desalinated and fairly soft: DEWA reports a typical hardness of 60.7 mg/l in Dubai. Most problems start in building tanks and pipework, so filtration and UV usually matter more here than softening.
