Drinking Water Tap for UAE Offices and Homes: Which RoyalFlow Model Fits?

A guide to the RoyalFlow drinking water tap range for UAE offices and homes: model letters, datasheet figures, the plastic ban angle and a fit-out checklist.

Choosing a drinking water tap for a UAE office is no longer only about taste. Dubai's single-use plastic ban reached its final phase on 1 January 2026, and many teams want to cut bottles and plastic cups from the pantry. A mains-fed tap that serves boiling, chilled and sparkling water does that from one spout. This guide shows how the RoyalFlow range splits, which model fits which site in Dubai, Abu Dhabi or Sharjah, and what your fit-out contractor needs to prepare.

TL;DR

  • RoyalFlow has five commercial taps (BCS, BC, BA, CA, CSA) and two home taps (C2, C4).
  • Model letters list the waters: B boiling, C chilled, S sparkling, A ambient.
  • The BCS is the all-in-one drinking water tap for a busy office pantry.
  • Models without boiling water draw only 0.5 kW.
  • A mains-fed tap removes bottle deliveries and storage.
  • Ask your fit-out contractor for a cold feed, isolation valve and fused spur in the cupboard.

Why UAE offices are moving to taps

Three things push UAE workplaces towards a drinking water tap.

First, plastic. Dubai Municipality confirmed the final phase of its single-use plastic ban from 1 January 2026, and plastic beverage cups are on the list. A tap that fills glasses and reusable bottles fits that direction.

Second, space. Bottled coolers need room for full and empty bottles, and someone has to take deliveries. A tap uses the cupboard under the sink and nothing else.

Third, choice. One tap can cover tea and coffee, cold water in summer and sparkling water for meetings, so the pantry needs fewer appliances.

For a broader look at options, our office water dispenser guide for the UAE compares taps, coolers and floor-standing units.

What the model letters mean

The commercial RoyalFlow names describe what comes out of the spout:

  • B: boiling
  • C: chilled
  • S: sparkling
  • A: ambient, meaning filtered room-temperature water

A BCS therefore serves boiling, chilled and sparkling. A BA serves boiling and ambient. Every commercial model is a dedicated drinking water tap with its own under-sink unit, so the normal sink tap stays in place. The full commercial line-up is on our RoyalFlow commercial page.

Matching a model to your site

Busy office pantry, all three drinks. The RoyalFlow BCS Smart Tap is the usual pick. The manufacturer rates the 3 litre boiling tank at around 125 cups an hour and the 2.5 litre chilled tank at around 100 cups an hour. Sparkling is drawn from the chilled supply. Plan cupboard space for an under-sink unit of 230 × 435 × 395 mm.

Hot and cold, no fizz. The BC keeps boiling and chilled but drops the CO2.

Tea point with a glass of water. The BA gives boiling and ambient with no chiller at all.

Gym, clinic or reception with no hot drinks. The CA serves chilled and ambient. The CSA adds sparkling.

Both spout styles, the curved swan neck (C1) and the square neck (S1), suit a modern pantry, so pick the one that matches your joinery.

For the hot side, see our instant boiling water tap vs kettle guide for UAE offices. For fizz, read sparkling water in the office.

Datasheet figures at a glance

From the RoyalFlow datasheets:

ModelWatersBoiling tankChilled tankRated power
BCSB, C, S3 L2.5 L1.5 kW
BCB, C3 L2.5 L1.5 kW
BAB, A3 LNone1 kW
CAC, ANone2.5 L0.5 kW
CSAC, S, ANone2.5 L0.5 kW

The boiler is the largest power draw. A floor that never makes hot drinks can save that load by choosing the CA or CSA. The sparkling models need a CO2 cylinder, so build its replacement into the service agreement.

If you would rather look at a BRITA system for the same job, see the BRITA extra C-Tap page.

Apartments and villas: C2 and C4

The C2 and C4 are home taps. They are not for workplace use.

The RoyalFlow C2 takes the place of the kitchen mixer. It delivers boiling, chilled, sparkling and ambient drinking water as well as normal hot and cold. Its datasheet gives a 2 litre boiling tank (around 75 cups an hour), 1.5 litre chilled and sparkling tanks (around 50 cups an hour), and 0.7 kW hot plus 0.3 kW cold.

The C4 uses the same tanks with a C-shaped spout and a rotating control lit in different colours. The datasheet says it suits households of up to 8 people. Boiling water has a safety lock: the control blinks red and you turn it again within 3 seconds to release hot water. It fits a 32 to 35 mm worktop hole.

Both are on our RoyalFlow residential page.

Fit-out checklist

Hand this list to your fit-out contractor or building facilities team. It comes from the RoyalFlow connection document:

  • An 8 mm drinking-water connection from the cold mains
  • An isolation valve on that line, reachable for servicing
  • A switched, fused electrical spur inside the cupboard
  • A drain connection where the model needs one
  • Cupboard space for the under-sink unit with air around it, and room for CO2 on the BCS and CSA

The outlet pipe is supplied as C-type or U-type and must not be rotated past 180 degrees.

UAE kitchens can run warm, especially in closed cupboards. The chiller needs ventilation, so avoid sealing it in beside an oven or dishwasher.

Every RoyalFlow datasheet notes the tap can be paired with a Sovereign treatment system, sold separately, which helps keep scale off the boiler. We choose the filtration to suit the supply and how much the site uses. We do not test water, and our site survey is chargeable.

When you compare quotes, include the tap, installation, filters, CO2, servicing and VAT. The standard UAE VAT rate is 5%, set out by the Federal Tax Authority. Our Comprehensive Maintenance plan can cover filters and servicing on a fixed schedule. For more care tips, see water dispenser maintenance tips UAE offices can rely on.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best drinking water tap for a UAE office?

For a shared pantry that wants boiling, chilled and sparkling water, the RoyalFlow BCS. The BC drops sparkling, and the BA drops the chiller.

Does a drinking water tap help with Dubai's plastic ban?

It removes the need for bottled water and plastic cups at the tap, because staff fill glasses or reusable bottles instead.

Which RoyalFlow models avoid boiling water?

The CA (chilled and ambient) and the CSA (chilled, sparkling and ambient). Both draw 0.5 kW.

Can I install a C2 in an office?

No. The C2 and C4 are residential. Choose a commercial model for workplaces.

What does a sparkling tap need?

A CO2 cylinder, which is replaced as it runs out. Agree who supplies it.
